This program is intended for physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals interested in the care of women and gynecologic oncology.
Among other things, participants will learn about the pros and cons of robotic vs laparoscopic hysterectomy; post-operative pain management without opioid usage; updates on breast cancer screening and diagnosis; genetic testing and precision medicine in breast cancer; and surgical management of endometrial cancer.
- Increase their core knowledge about breast cancer, interpreting mammograms, managing abnormal pap smears during pregnancy, and the developments in managing opioid use.
- Enhance their knowledge of genetic testing and the use of precision medicine in breast cancer.
- Be able to discuss new developments in managing borderline tumors of the ovary; employ appropriate treatments based on frozen section reports.
- Be able to compare the pros and cons of robotic versus laparoscopic hysterectomy.
