Donating During COVID-19

Attention blood and platelet donors: There is NO waiting period to donate after receiving the Pfizer, Moderna or J&J COVID-19 vaccines. Masks are still required inside the Donor Center.

The Donor Center at Roswell Park strongly encourages individuals who are healthy and feeling well to make an appointment to donate blood or platelets. Individuals with an O negative blood type, are encouraged to donate whole blood unless you are a current platelet donor. Current platelet donors should continue donating platelets. Before you visit the Donor Center at Roswell Park, please read our COVID-19 webpage for important precautions to take. As this is an evolving situation, the information will be updated frequently, so please check the page regularly and before every appointment or visit to Roswell Park.
