Biography

Dana Jenkins, MS, joined the administrative staff of Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) in 1999, and was appointed Assistant Vice President of Organizational Performance Improvement. She came to RPCI from the University of Texas Medical Branch where she was Director of Clinical Continuous Process Improvement.

Ms. Jenkins’ responsibilities include the planning, coordination, direction and integration of an Institute-wide performance improvement program designed to ensure continuous quality of care, patient satisfaction and compliance with various accrediting organizations and regulatory bodies; interpreting and implementing Institute quality assurance and improvement standards to ensure quality care to patients; initiating involvement in national collaboratives that define evidence- or consensus-based practices and offer comparative database participation and provide data to payors engaged in pay-for-performance initiatives, facilitating strategic planning and overseeing the audit of work activities of Institute staff to verify conformance of activities to quality assurance standards, and guiding the Institute in its participation in the Baldridge National Quality Program.

Ms. Jenkins received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University, where she also completed graduate courses in Public Administration.
