Charges for Services
Should I come to my appointment in light of the COVID-19 pandemic?
You will be notified by your Roswell Park Center if your appointment has been cancelled, rescheduled or moved to a virtual visit. If you do not hear from Roswell Park, please assume your appointment is still scheduled and your doctor prefers to see you in person. If you are required to come to one of our centers for your appointment, please know that we continue to provide a safe environment for our patients and employees. Keep up to date with the latest on Coronavirus.
Understanding your Roswell Park bills
Roswell Park patients receive two separate bills for service, one for hospital services from Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and one for physician/professional services from the Roswell Park Clinical Practice Plan.
Roswell Park Clinical Practice Plan bill
Your provider’s fee for service will come from the Roswell Park Clinical Practice Plan.

You may pay Clinical Practice Plan bills online at www.PerYourHealth.com.

Charges for Services
Inpatient hospital charges for services can be found on the New York State Pricing Transparency website. Please note there are limitations to this data and it must be used in the context of both quality and type of care delivered.
If you are insured, these reported charges are unlikely to impact your financial obligation (such as your copay or coinsurance) after your insurance carrier makes payment.
Roswell Park also is committed to a robust financial assistance program for our patients. Cost estimates as well as information on these programs can be obtained by calling Roswell Park financial counselors at 716-845-4782.
Affordable Care Act hospital mandates
United States hospitals are required to give public access to the list of hospital charges for items and services they provide. In compliance with this mandate, we have provided a link below to download the listing. Unfortunately, this does not accurately reflect what our patients pay because it does not take into account a patient’s health insurance arrangements, any financial aid, and state and federal reimbursable care support. If you have questions regarding your bill or would like to better understand cancer care costs for your treatment, please call Roswell Park’s financial counselors at 716-845-4782.
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act
During the pandemic the United States government has implanted the CARES Act. Section 3202 (b2) of the CARES act requires all providers to list the cash price for a COVID-19 Diagnostic test. In compliance with this mandate, please be advised the cash price for a COVID-19 Diagnostic test is $98.
Regardless if a patient has insurance coverage or is uninsured, this cash amount does not reflect what a patient will be required to pay for a COVID-19 test. New York state insurance companies are required to pay for testing and are not permitted to apply patient cost sharing. Financial assistance may be provided to patients in the unlikely event a patient incurs a bill for COVID-19 testing. If you have any questions regarding your financial liability for this test, please call Roswell Park’s Financial Counselors at 716-845-4782.
Non-Roswell Park providers
As a Roswell Park patient, you may receive treatment or services from providers that have privileges at Roswell Park, but are not Roswell Park staff. This means you could potentially receive an additional bill if the provider is not participating with your health plan. To check your coverage for a non-Roswell Park provider, please review the list and contact their office.
