Health Research, Inc. (HRI) Roswell Park Division is seeking a full-time Research Technologist. The Research Technologist supports clinical and scientific research throughout the organization; assists with or conducts experiments and procedures under the direction of a supervisor; presents findings including preliminary interpretation for further review; inputs clinical and research information into the designated database system; conducts routine maintenance of equipment and machinery as needed. This involves planning, analyzing, executing and participating in all phases of research. Coordinates with other group members and staff and manages any administrative work that may be required including seeking approvals and amendments under various regulations directly impacting research work such as IACUC, etc.
The applicant must have a Master’s degree in a clinical or scientific discipline; or Bachelor’s degree in a clinical or scientific discipline and the equivalent of one year of full-time experience in a laboratory setting. The preferred candidate will have previous experience in cancer research, molecular biology skills, familiarity with routine lab skills such as cell culture, western blot, PCR, etc. The preferred candidate will also have previous experience doing prior research using mouse tumor models and have strong communication and language skills.
This is a grant-funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables is required.
