The Research Technologist supports clinical and scientific research throughout the organization; assists with or conducts experiments and procedures under the direction of a supervisor; presents findings including preliminary interpretation for further review; inputs clinical and research information into the designated database system; conducts routine maintenance of equipment and machinery as needed.
Applicants must have a Master’s degree in a clinical or scientific discipline; or a Bachelor’s degree in a clinical or scientific discipline and the equivalent of one year of full-time experience in a laboratory setting. The preferred candidate will have hands on experience in working with small experimental laboratory animals, experience in tail vein injection in murine models, inoculation of tumors, and assessment of response and health in rodents and hands on experience in cell culture work. The preferred candidate will also have experience in radiation therapy in small experimental animals, excellent communication skills and computer skills and possess the ability to work on multiple projects (i.e. multitasking) in a demanding research environment.
This is a grant-funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables is required.
