Description of Duties:
The Research Technologist runs experiments as designed in collaboration with the primary investigator. The Research Technologist also maintains equipment and laboratory logs and laboratory organization, assists in coordination with medical students and rotating students, and performs mostly cell culture and molecular biology techniques. Future work of the Research Technologist may extend to include animal experiments.
Applicants must have a Master’s degree in a clinical or scientific discipline; or a Bachelor’s degree in a clinical or scientific discipline and the equivalent of one year of full-time experience in a laboratory setting. The preferred candidate will have at least one year of experience in cell culture and molecular biology techniques and at least one year of experience maintaining a lab and lab equipment. They will also have the ability to produce both independently and with PI/collaborators and their work ethic will include punctuality and excellent time and attendance.
This is a grant-funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables is required.
