Description of Duties:
The Research Technologist supports clinical and scientific research. The Research Technologist assists with or conducts experiments and procedures under the direction of a supervisor, presents findings including preliminary interpretation for further review, inputs clinical and research information into the designated database system, and conducts routine maintenance of equipment and machinery as needed. They also are responsible for the evaluation of immunomodulatory and anticancer agents and their combinations in cell cultures and ex vivo tumor explant cultures. The Research Technologist will support ongoing and new research projects and may participate in the production of clinical grade cellular products for our clinical trials.
Applicants must have a Master’s degree in a clinical or scientific discipline; or a Bachelor’s degree in a clinical or scientific discipline and the equivalent of one year of full-time experience in a laboratory setting. The preferred candidate will have experience with lo cultures oh human primary cells (lymphocytes, myeloid cells), flow cytometry, ELISA, and RT-PCR. They will also have experience with data analysis and preparation of scientific reports.
This is a grant-funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables is required.
