Description of Duties:
The Research Technologist supports clinical and scientific research throughout the organization; assists with or conducts experiments and procedures under the direction of a supervisor; presents findings including preliminary interpretation for further review; keeps detailed and accurate records relevant to the experiments conducted; inputs clinical and research information into the designated database system; conducts routine maintenance of equipment and machinery as needed; orders laboratory supplies, maintains laboratory order records and tracking/receiving information. This position is temporary with the potential to become permanent. Requires participation in rotating schedule for weekend coverage for sample processing.
Applicants must have a Master’s degree in a clinical or scientific discipline; or a Bachelor’s degree in a clinical or scientific discipline and the equivalent of one year of full-time experience in a laboratory setting.The preferred candidate will have educational background in biotechnical or a science related field, experience with antibody staining techniques, previous flow cytometry experience, or experience in a research lab setting. The candidate will also posses technical skills (software and hardware).
This is a grant-funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables is required.
