Description of Duties:
The Research Associate facilitates and assists Thoracic Surgery faculty/PI's with research planning and conduct, to include data collection and management, initial interpretation, reporting, IRB compliance, manuscript preparation and grant writing. The Research Associate will organize efforts and collaborators, manage their adherence to timeliness and milestones, and facilitate the collective submission of grants and manuscripts in Thoracic Surgery.
Applicants must have a Master’s degree and the equivalent of eighteen months of full-time professional research experience in a laboratory, clinical or scientific research environment; or a Bachelor’s degree and the equivalent of thirty months of full-time professional research experience in a laboratory, clinical or scientific research environment. The preferred candidate will have a background in Public Health and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
This is a grant-funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables is required.
