Description of Duties:
The Radiation Safety Specialist coordinates and manages the radiation safety program. They serve as Radiation Safety Specialist and monitors and ensures compliance with the conditions of the license and New York State regulations and supervise activities involving radioactive materials.
The applicant will have a Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology; or a Bachelor’s degree in physical or biological science or engineering and the equivalent of two years of full-time experience working with radioactive materials.The preferred candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in the required fields with a certification from either NRRPT, NMTCB or ARRT(N).
