The Laboratory Technician performs technical laboratory work in a scientific research laboratory. The Laboratory Technician will support an ongoing research project to understand cytokine mediated metabolic reprogramming in pancreatic tumors. The laboratory is broadly interested in cytokine biology, cancer metabolism and cancer therapeutics.
Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field; or Associate’s degree in a science-related field and the equivalent of two years of full-time laboratory experience. The preferred candidate will have: a degree in Biology and demonstrable, hands-on experience working in immunology, cancer biology, molecular or cellular biology, biochemistry or genetics; animal handling; and current experience performing experiments. Experience with supply ordering and managing inventories is also preferred. The candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills along with a solid work ethic and the ability to get along well with a diverse group of colleagues.
This is a grant-funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables is required.
