Description of Duties:
The Department of Immunology is seeking a creative and highly motivated scientist. The lab research focuses on the mechanisms of Immune suppression that impact the antitumor immune response and the efficacy of immunotherapeutic approaches against tumors. The projects make use of diverse experimental techniques including multicolor flow cytometry, in viro cellular culture and functional assays, measurements of gene expression, in vivo mouse models of human disease including cancer (i.e. Inoculation and monitoring of tumor growth in mice, and Immunohistochemistry.
Applicants must possess a Mater's degree in an appropriate field; or an MD or PhD in an appropriate field. The preferred candidate will have Master's or PhD in Immunology, Microbiology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology or equivalent; outstanding verbal and written abilities, Immunology Research experience, experience using Flow Cytometry, Immunoblotting, Immunofluorescence Microscopy, and/or Mouse handling. Previous experience with RNAASeq sample preparation and/or data analysis is highly preferred. Willingness to work with mice is required.
This is a grant-funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables is required.
