Description of Duties:
The HRI Scientist conducts, assists and participates in original research; responsible for the completion of the project and contributes to the base of scientific knowledge. This involves developing, planning, analyzing, executing and participating in all phases of research. Coordinate with other group members and staff and manages any administrative work that may be required including seeking approvals and amendments under various regulations directly impacting research work such as IACUC, etc.
Applicants must have an M.D. or PhD in an appropriate field; or a Master’s degree in an appropriate field.
The preferred candidate will have knowledge in cancer biology and pharmacology and significant prior research experience in these areas. The applicant must have strong experience in research using mouse tumor models and should also be familiar with routine lab skills such as cell culture, western blot analysis, immunohistochemistry and gene cloning.
This is a grant-funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables is required.
