Description of Duties:
The Data Manager I provides clinical data services for a data network operation, fulfilling requests in a timely manner. The Data Manager I acts as a certified honest broker, abstracts data from the medical record or other institutional sources and accurately enters into a data collection system, and provides documentation related to the use of the data collection systems used including any new procedures for collection of data. They also meet with investigators to determine their data requirements and aid upper-level data management staff as necessary.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree and the equivalent of one year of full-time experience in a clinical trials and/or research environment; or an Associate’s degree and the equivalent of three years of full-time experience in a clinical trials and/or research environment. The preferred candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in a science or medical field, previous data abstraction and data management experience, and research/clinical trials experience. They will also have working knowledge of medical terminology and proven experience in Microsoft Excel and Access. They will have good organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.
This is a grant-funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables is required.
