Description of Duties

Health Research, Inc. (HRI) Roswell Park Division is seeking a full-time Clinical Research Specialist. The Clinical Research Specialist Develops an environment that facilitates the identification and coordination of the clinical research requirements for each participating patient and the provision of quality care for patients on the Clinical Research Center (CRC); provides education and mentors Center staff and others involved in the research process; assists in the management of personnel, material and fiscal resources; interacts with other departments and organization staff to ensure a collaborative approach to meeting the research and clinical care requirements for all patients managed in the Center; promotes an environment that allows for continuous quality improvement.


The applicant must have a License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York. The applicant must have a Current certification by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP); or Current certification by the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA); AND Current certification as an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN). The applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Health or Science related field and the equivalent of five years of full-time experience, three years which must have been in clinical research and two years which must have been in oncology nursing.

This is a grant-funded position.  Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables is required.
