Description of Duties:
Roswell Park Cancer Institute is seeking a full-time Clinical Laboratory Technologist. The Clinical Laboratory Technologist performs simple and complex laboratory test procedures in the Bone Marrow laboratory. Routine job responsibilities will include the processing, staining, and microscopic evaluation of peripheral blood, bone marrow aspirates, and other body fluids. Routine job functions include specimen acceptance, accessioning, processing, performance of testing and quality control procedures, and the use of various laboratory information systems for result generation, reporting, and documentation. This position will include additional cross-training assignment in another clinical laboratory discipline.
Applicants must be in possession of a full license to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York; or Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology or a related health care discipline and eligibility for full licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York. The preferred candidate will have previous experience with the Morphologic review of Peripheral blood, bone marrow, and other fluid types.
