Description of Duties:
The Clinical Data Manager I provides clinical data services; designs clinical trials databases; uses database system functions to manage clinical trial data; monitors data integrity of the clinical trials database system; provides documentation related to the use of the system including any new functionality or procedures for collecting data; and trains all staff in the use and interpretation of the database system and reports. The incumbent provides recommendations for application set up to align with organizational goals; collaborates with end users, technical support, and organizational leaders; identifies requirements and develops reports to meet organizational reporting needs; prioritizes product enhancements; coordinates the evaluation of upgrades on the test environment and provides feedback to IT and Forte; articulates impact of upgrades to end users; executes end user and super-user training; creates and maintains training materials for CTMS processes and eDC case report form standards.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a science or medical field and the equivalent of one year of full-time clinical data management experience; or an Associate’s degree in a science or medical field and the equivalent of three years of full-time clinical data management experience.
The preferred candidate will have experience in clinical data management (at least two years), with at least one clinical trial software package (e.g. eClinical, Medidata Rave, Oncore, Oracle Siebel) as well as with Microsoft Excel. Experience in oncology trials is preferred. Working knowledge of database design or data modeling principles is a plus.
