OmniSeq, Inc., a subsidiary of Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, is seeking a MD/DO-licensed Molecular Pathologist, licensed to practice medicine in New York State or with the ability to obtain a NYS license. The applicant will direct the proper performance and operations of a CLIA, CAP and NYS state-of- the-art next generation sequencing (NGS) molecular oncology laboratory.
The applicant will have the opportunity to sign out multiple types of cutting-edge NGS assays, including both DNA-seq and RNA-seq, as well as participate in the design and scientific development of future advanced diagnostic laboratory tests. Clinically, the position will actively review and sign out of genomic and immune-oncology NGS solid tumor profiling assays that support molecular tumor board and physician decision making for both targeted therapies and immunotherapies. From a translational perspective, there is opportunity to participate in R&D activities that will allow for high impact publication authorship and speaking opportunities.
In addition to the clinical responsibilities, the position will develop a translational biomarker program with an emphasis on both genomics and immunology. Opportunities exist for collaborative research with other clinicians and basic scientists at Roswell Park and OmniSeq’s research and pharma partners.

Candidates must have (or be eligible for): New York State full physician licensure (MD/DO), American Board of Pathology Certification in Molecular Pathology or American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG) and New York State Certificate of Qualification in Oncology (molecular and cellular tumor markers). The preferred will be candidates with molecular pathology fellowship training, prior experience in molecular diagnostics, and/or experience or training in next generation sequencing for cancer testing will be given preference. Knowledge of Informatics a plus.
Experience with Laboratory Information Systems, CLIMS and informatics solutions preferred.
Position is located in Buffalo, NY and not available as remote employment.
