Description of Duties

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (RPCCC) seeks to recruit an academic Surgical Pathologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank with subspecialty expertise and/or fellowship training in Genitourinary (GU) Pathology to support expansion of the Institute’s clinical and research programs in these areas. The successful candidate will join an expanding surgical pathology staff to provide subspecialty diagnostic services and translational research support to an outstanding and enthusiastic clinical and scientific staff in a collegial and cooperative environment. The successful candidate will be expected to sign out GU cases and support both the multidisciplinary tumor boards and translational research activities in this area. Development of an independent research program is encouraged and will be supported. Coverage of intraoperative consultations (one week every two months) is needed.


Candidates must be AP or AP/CP board certified or eligible and will be required to obtain a New York State Medical license. The ideal candidate will have subspecialty fellowship training and/or have developed a significant academic track record in these areas. Expertise in another subspecialty is a plus but not required.
