The Department of Medicine and Section of Pulmonary medicine is seeking a full-time medical pulmonologist at the Assistant/Associate or full Professor interested in general pulmonary services, intensive care, and screening for lung cancer. The person will join a vibrant multidisciplinary team of physicians and scientists dedicated to understanding, treating and screening for thoracic cancers as well as caring for patients in the ICU.
Responsibilities include outpatient clinics, inpatient consultation service, general pulmonary medicine, intensive care and screening clinic. The individual will have a leadership role as Section Chief of Pulmonary Medicine.
Additional opportunities include clinical and translational research, participation and leadership in clinical trials, as well as teaching and supervision of fellows.
Applicants are required to be BC/BE in oncology and be eligible for a NY State Medical License. The search committee will consider clinical expertise and leadership qualities in addition to translational research interests, publication record, and commitment to clinical care and teaching. Academic rank and compensation are dependent upon qualifications and years of experience. Faculty will also have a joint appointment at the University of Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine.
