We invite applications for two Laboratory Faculty positions (MD, PhD, or MD/PhD) at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor levels. Candidates are sought with a strong background in Translational Cancer Research with special interests in, but not limited to, tumor immunotherapy and combinatorial therapies involving chemo-, radio-, and/or immunotherapy.
The new recruitment aims to compliment and broaden the existing expertise in the Departments of Medicine, Immunology (Head: Pawel Kalinski, MD, PhD), Cell Stress (Head: Andrei Gudkov, PhD), Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (Head: Dean Tang, PhD), Center for Immunotherapy, and Early Phase Clinical Trials Program (Head: Igor Puzanov, MD) and to strengthen the mission of the Institute as an NCI designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and one of the top Cancer Hospitals nationwide.
Selection will be based on excellence in research and potential to develop and maintain an outstanding independent research program. We encourage applicants who desire an environment that fosters interaction with a diverse group of scientists and clinicians both within the Institute and the State University of New York at Buffalo. Preferred applicants at the Assistant level will have current peer-reviewed funding and strong potential to maintain a productive research program. Applicants at the Associate and Full Professor level are expected to have current federal funding and documented ability to maintain a productive research program.
Successful applicants will be expected to contribute to the development of novel therapeutic approaches and designs of novel clinical trials for patients with different forms of solid and hematologic cancers. Laboratory space in the 300,000 sq. ft. Buffalo Life Sciences Complex provides a highly multidisciplinary environment, access to state-of-the-art core facilities, and the opportunity to interact with both research scientists and research-oriented clinicians from several departments.
Applicants should send their curriculum vitae, description of research accomplishments and of future research objectives and the names and addresses of three references to:
