Produces ultrasonic images of internal organs for use by physicians in the diagnosis of disease and study of malfunction of organs; performs routine and portable ultrasound exams as requested; assists radiologist in biopsies, drainages, intraoperative studies, and other studies as needed; maintains exam room supplies.
The applicant must have a License to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of New York, an Associate’s degree and the equivalent of one year of full-time experience as an Ultrasound Technologist; or Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography and certified by an accredited institution as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer and the equivalent of one year of full-time experience as an Ultrasound Technologist. Equivalent experience gained by the completion of technical training as an Ultrasound Technologist at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center or an approved school or training institution may be substituted for the above experience requirement. The preferred candidate will have their ARDMS Breast Certification.
