Description of Duties:
This is a trainee position. Incumbents will be engaged in trainee duties that may lead to the full performance level of a Sterile Processing Technician. Responsibilities include maintaining established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, safety and compliance standards; enhancing professional growth and development by participating in educational programs, reading current literature, and participating in in-service meetings and workshops; and preparing written documentation as required by the profession and the department. The Sterile Processing Technician trainee maintains, distributes, analyzes and projects information for required records, reports and statistics as directed. Attends meetings as required. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Applicants must have a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma. The preferred candidate will have training in SPD or an approved program, CRCST Certification, leadership/management experience, basic computer skills, and good communication and interpersonal skills.
