Senior Radiation Therapist
The Senior Radiation Therapist provides radiation treatment delivery to patients according to prescription. Performs complex radiation therapy duties characterized by a greater degree of independence; delivers planned courses of radiation therapy; maintains accurate records; verifies and records treatments; applies principles of radiation protection; provides special radiation procedures. Maintains a high degree of accuracy and attention to all details. Contributes to a culture of patient safety in a team-based environment.
Applicants must possess a License to practice as a radiation therapist in the State of New York and an Associate’s degree and the equivalent of three years of full-time experience in the practice of Radiation Therapy. The preferred candidate will have a high level of professionalism, excellent communication abilities, be team-oriented, patient-centered and have a strong focus on quality and patient safety. The preferred candidate will have three years of treatment delivery experience, Truebeam and Mosaiq experience. Also, experience with image guidance (IGRT) and with IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, TBI treatment delivery is preferred.
