Description of Duties:
The Senior MRI Technologist produces diagnostic MRI images for interpretation and will provide evening supervision to the MRI section.
License to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of New York is required. Applicants must have an Associate’s degree and the equivalent of three years of full-time experience as an MRI Technologist. Equivalent experience gained by the completion of technical training as an MRI Technologist at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, an approved school or training institution may be substituted for the above experience requirement. However, all candidates must possess at least one year of experience as an MRI Technologist. Incumbents must maintain the Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits required for MRI Technologists as a condition of continued employment in this title. The preferred candidate will have experience with GE MRI Scanner, two-three years’ experience as an MRI technologist, and supervisory experience.
