Description of Duties:
The Radiation Therapist will accurately deliver planned courses of radiation therapy treatments to patients according to the physician's prescription. This includes IMRT, TBI, TSE, and SBRT treatments. The incumbent will be knowledgable on image guidance technicques including CBCT, KV-KV imaging and uses acquired images fro accurate patient set-up. The incumbent places patient safety as top priority and performs all quality assurance checks as provided. This position provides professional patient support in a caring manager, utilization of Mosaiq record-and-verify software for patient treatment cheduling and procedure documentation, and excellent time management skills to adapt to a high volume patient workload.
Applicants must have an Associate’s degree in an appropriate field of study and a License to practice as a radiation therapist in the State of New York. The preferred candidate will be a highly patient-centered individual by building a rapport with patients, ensuring a safe and positive patient experience in all aspects of care. The preferred candidate will also have excellent team player skills and professional communication abilities.
