Description of Duties

The Physician Assistant duties are as follows: obtain/update History and Physical, Schedule follow up visits/ imaging and blood work; Reply to outpatient calls regarding upcoming radiology appointments; Coordinate patient care between clinics; Help assess inpatient add-on imaging requests; Clinical evaluation of patients following imaging when necessary; Manage adverse reactions to contrast; Answer patient questions/concerns about upcoming studies; Assist in notifying clinical services of urgent/emergent findings; Coordinating performance of CT exams; Willingness to work evenings; and willingness to potentially learn ultrasound guided procedures.


Applicants must possess a License to practice as a Registered Physician Assistant in the State of New York and a Certification as a Registered Physician Assistant by the National Commission for Certification of Physicians Assistants (NCCPA) or other national certifying body recognized by the New York State Education Department; and a Certification or eligibility for Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
