$15.50 per hour. Includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Description of Duties:
The Phlebotomist I procures laboratory test samples from patients and normal donors for clinical and research testing purposes. The Phlebotomist I performs phlebotomy using venipuncture, butterfly and microsampling techniques at patient bedside or in Roswell Park approved outpatient location(s) and processes proper patient registration and handling of laboratory orders for specimen acquisition within appropriate Hospital and Laboratory Information Systems.
Applicants must have an Associate’s degree and the equivalent of one year of full-time experience in performing phlebotomy and collection techniques or a High School diploma and successful completion of an approved Phlebotomy certificate program. The preferred candidate will have completed the Phlebotomy Certificate Program and will have phlebotomy experience in a Hospital/Oncology setting. They will also have excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with a diverse population.
