Description of Duties:
The Pharmacy Technician Trainee maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, safety and compliance standards. the Pharmacy Technician Trainee also prepares other written documentation as required by the profession and the department, maintains, distributes, analyzes and projects information for required records, reports and statistics as directed, and assists in dispensing medications intravenous additives. They maintain pharmaceutical supplies, assists with preparation of pharmaceutical orders and receiving pharmaceutical supplies, assists with repackaging of medications, and maintains records entries. The Pharmacy Technician Trainee also enhances professional growth and development by participating in educational programs, reading current literature, and participating in inservice meetings and workshops, attends meetings as required, and performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
