Description of Duties:
The Pharmacy Technician II maintains established departmental policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs and safety and compliance standards. The Pharmacy Technician II assists in dispensing medications and intravenous sterile products, including but not limited to IV piggybacks, Total Parenteral Nutrition Solutions and chemotherapy products, maintains pharmaceutical supplies, assists with preparation of pharmaceutical orders and receiving pharmaceutical supplies, and assists with repackaging of medications and maintains record entries. They also prepare other written documentation as required by the profession and the department, maintain, distribute, analyze and project information for required records, reports and statistics as directed, and perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Applicants must have Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (cPhT) from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) and a High school diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and completion of an RPCI-approved pharmacy technician training course.
