The Pharmacy Resident provides consultative or direct pharmaceutical care as a member of the health care team in the acute and/or ambulatory care setting. The Pharmacy Resident collaborates with physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses and other health care professionals to design, implement, monitor or evaluate pharmacotherapy to ensure effective, safe and economic patient care. They also assist the Clinical Pharmacists (General), Clinical Pharmacists (Investigational Drug Service), Clinical Pharmacists (Specialist), Clinical Pharmacy Service Director, Investigational Drug Service Director and the Pharmacy Operations Director in the development of the pharmacy clinical services and participate in the clinical training of pharmacists, students, and other health care professionals.
Applicants must have a License to practice as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of New York; or Eligibility for licensure as a Registered /Pharmacist in the State of New York. The preferred candidate will have completion of PGY1 Pharmacy Practice residency.
