$21.37 per hour. Includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Description of Duties:
The Pathology Resource Technologist Provides technical supervision and training for subordinate level staff members; performs and manages simple and complex experimental/laboratory tasks independently within the Pathology Resource laboratories and tissue banks to provide services or laboratory results for customers/investigators for use in research. Routine responsibilities include specimen processing, storage, shipment, and tracking of laboratory and pathology specimens associated with clinical research studies. Performs shipping and receiving procedures in compliance with IATA guidelines for external shipments. Coordinates internal transportation of research specimen. Performs routine quality control, preventative maintenance, and quality assurance activities, projects related to the treatment and prevention of cancer and cancer-related diseases in a timely, accurate and dependable manner.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a biological science; or an Associate’s degree in a biological science and the equivalent of two years of full-time experience as a Histotechnician and/or as a Pathology Resource Technician [RPCI]; or a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of four years of full-time experience as a Histotechnician and/or as a Pathology Resource Technician [RPCI].
