Description of Duties:
The Occupational Therapist develops and implements patient care plans to facilitate development and rehabilitation of persons with oncology-related disabilities and ensures program initiatives are keeping with the standards of practice of the American Occupational Therapy Association, the New York Education Department, Institute and department policies and the standards of The Joint Commission (TJC).
Applicants must have a License to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the State of New York. They must also have a Master’s degree from an approved occupational therapy program; or a Bachelor’s degree from an approved occupational therapy program and the equivalent of two years of full-time experience in occupational therapy or a related field. The preferred candidate will have oncology and/or acute care experience, electronic medical record/documentation experience, Lymphedema Therapy experience/training, or be willing to be trained in Lymphedema Therapy. They will also have excellent written and oral communication skills.
