Description of Duties:
The Occupational Therapist provides timely evaluations, plans, documents, and executes meaningful physical therapy programs for patients with oncology related disabilities to maximize functional mobility, strength, and independence. The Physical Therapist makes recommendations for safe patient discharge and patient handling and participates in departmental quality improvement and patient/family experience initiatives.
Applicants must possess a a license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the State of New York and a Bachelor’s degree from an approved occupational therapy program and the equivalent of two years of full-time experience in occupational therapy or a related field.
The preferred candidate will have experience with oncology/rehabilitation patients, interest/experience in lymphedema treatment, and experience with Electronic Medical Records documentation. The preferred candidate will have an excellent time and attendance record and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
