Description of Duties:
The Nurse II (Perioperative Multi-Specialty) oversees and coordinates nursing activities in Radiology and 2 West while working with all Radiology staff. The RN will notify providers of needs and communicating any needs/changes to the appropriate staff; assist in coordinating operations and assignments for the next day, inclusive of noting and coordinating ancillary times, patient arrival times, and making sure to have appropriate staff; Verify that Radiology and 2West are set up with the proper and appropriate personnel for the patient schedule; and assumes responsibility for maintenance of service line excellence. The RN will alsoprecept and monitor staff competency in service lines.
Applicants must posses a license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York. In addition, applicants must minimally have Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and the equivalent of two years of full-time relevant perioperative experience; or graduation from an accredited school of nursing and the equivalent of four years of full-time relevant perioperative experience.The preferred candidate will have OCN or CRN certification, experience with Radiology, preferably RPCI, good verbal and written skills, and communication acumen.
