Description of Duties:
The Nurse II participates in the assessment, planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of Enterostomal Therapy (ET) services in clinical, ambulatory and outreach areas which serve adult and pediatric patient populations in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of the Department of Nursing and the standards of the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society (WOCN). The Nurse II also assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents education needs to ensure high quality enterostomal patient care. They will also enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, inservice meetings and workshops.
Applicants must have a License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York and have graduated from an accredited school of nursing. In addition, applicants must have either one year of full-time oncology experience; one year of full time critical care experience; or three years of medical surgical experience in an acute care setting.
