Description of Duties:
The Nurse II provides and supervises nursing interventions for individuals with cancer and cancer-related health care problems, diagnoses and treats human responses to actual or potential health problems through such services as patient care, health teaching, and health counseling; and provides direct patient care and assumes responsibility for nursing care of assigned patients. Executes medical regimens as prescribed by MD. Problem solving and development of a plan of care for each patient, and work well with an interdisciplinary team.
Applicants must have a License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York and have graduated from an accredited school of nursing. In addition, applicants must have either one year of full-time oncology experience; one year of full time critical care experience; or three years of medical surgical experience in an acute care setting. The preferred candidate will have a BSN, current BLS certification, OCN certification, charge nurse experience, and be self directed.
