Description of Duties:
The Nurse performs RN duties to include but not limited to: care of patients requiring critical care skills, patient and family teaching related to disease site cancers, treatments, and diagnostic as well as procedural interventions; acts as a patient advocate and able to demonstrate a high level of emotional and psychosocial support for patients and families.
Applicants must have a License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York and have graduated from an accredited school of nursing. In addition, applicants must have either one year of full-time oncology experience; one year of full time critical care experience; or three years of medical surgical experience in an acute care setting.
The preferred candidate will have previous critical care/oncology/telemetry experience and board certification.
