Description of Duties:
Performs RN duties to include but not limited to: care of patients requiring critical care skills, provides patient care and family support/education related to disease site, concerns, treatments, diagnostic procedures and interventions; acts as a strong patient advocate and provides a high level of emotion and psychosocial support for patients and families.
License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York is required.Applicants must graduate from an accredited school of nursing and the equivalent of one year of full-time oncology nursing experience; or one year of full-time critical care experience; or three years of full-time medical-surgical experience in an acute care setting. The preferred candidate will have a BSN, previous critical care experience, previous oncology experience and BLS/ACLS certifications.
