Description of Duties:
Provides medical physics and quality assurance services in support of all clinical activities offered in the department and its satellite facilities including IMRT/VMAT, SBRT, SRS, HDR IORT, TBI, and TSEI. Medical physics services will also be provided to local and regional satellite facilities, all equipped with state-of-the-art treatment planning and delivery technology.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. and one year of residency or equivalent work experience in a radiation therapy clinical setting and eligibility for certification for the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or the American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP) or a Master’s degree and the equivalent of three years of full-time experience in a radiation therapy clinical setting and eligibility for certification for the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or the American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP). The preferred candidate will display a high level of professionalism in all interactions and participate in a multi-disciplinary, teambased environment. The preferred candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication abilities and utilize a patient-centered approach in the execution of all responsibilities.
