Provides quality diagnostic and screening mammography services; assists in Radioactive seed localizations, fine needle aspirations, breast ultrasound core biopsies, stereotactic breast core biopsies, breast cyst aspirations, and breast ultrasound exams; participates in the coordination of center activities and patient flow with multidisciplinary clinics within the organization, referring physicians and patients outside of the organization.
Applicants must possess a License to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of New York; and an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification with advanced certification in mammography or meets the MQSA standards which requires completion of at least 40 contact hours of documented training specific to mammography, with a minimum of 25 examinations, under the supervision of a qualified instructor; as well as an Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology. The preferred candidate will have familiarity with PACS, RIS, Magview and breast imaging protocols/techniques.
