Description of Duties:
The Laboratory Technician will perform cell culture, cell assays, and assist with mouse studies. The mouse studies include injections of mouse tumors into genetically-engineered mice (GEMs) and providing therapy to the tumor-bearing GEMs with anticancer agents.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field; or an Associate’s degree in a science-related field and the equivalent of two years of full-time laboratory experience. The preferred candidate will have experience handling mice in a basic research laboratory setting and the ability to work occasional holiday or weekend as needed based on experiment. They will also have a strong background (education or work experience) in basic biology.
This is a grant-funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables is required.
