Endoscope Reprocessing Technician
Handles and processes instruments/scopes in accordance with various regulatory agencies’ regulations and Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center policies and procedures; inspects and ensures that all scopes are in proper working order; provides quality assurance through performance of periodic endoscope testing; adheres to strict infection control standards with respect to endoscope and endoscope accessory processing; occasionally transports specimens and supplies as delegated by a Registered Nurse; performs endoscopy room floor mopping/disinfection after contaminated cases; maintains general unit supplies.
The applicant must have a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma. The preferred candidate will have experience with processing Endoscopes and Advanced Endoscopes such as EUS, EBUS and ERCP scopes. The preferred candidate will also have familiarity with high level disinfection, Operating Room or endoscopy/procedural experience and coordinating and/or scheduling experience.
