Description of Duties:
The Clinical Research Nurse administer study medications in the Clinical Research Center (7 North) in accordance with the written clinical research study. The clinical Research Nurse independently and competently performs the nursing process, including assessment, planning, evaluation, and intervention, obtains research specimens and performs tasks (i.e. EKG's, vital signs) at timepoints required by the study. They also safeguard the rights and well being of the study participant within the guidelines of the Code of Federal Regulations, International Conference on Harmonization and Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Clinical Research Services Standard Operating Procedures.
Applicants must have a License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York and have graduated from an accredited school of nursing. In addition, applicants must have either one year of full-time experience in an oncology support or research setting. The preferred candidate will have their BSN, professional certification in oncology, research, or other related field, chemotherapy infusion experience, and recent oncology, critical care, clinical research, or medical-surgical experience.
