Description of Duties

Administers, directs and coordinates the provision of quality nursing care in assigned areas; manages personnel, material and fiscal resources; interacts with other departments and organization staff to ensure a collaborative approach to meeting the mission of the organization; promotes an environment that allows for continuous quality improvement and research.


Applicants must have a License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York and have graduated from an accredited school of nursing. In addition, applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, 16 CEU’s annually and the equivalent of three years of full-time nursing experience in an oncology support setting; or a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, 16 CEU’s annually and the equivalent of five years of full-time nursing experience in an acute care support setting. The preferred candidate will have supervisory experience, experience working with oncology patients, and knowledge of and experience in operation of an infusion clinic. The preferred candidate will possess an OCN certification, leadership skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational and analytical skills. The preferred candidate will also possess the ability to exercise critical thinking, sound judgment and discretion as well as possess the ability to actively participate as part of a team and engage with all team members.
