Clinical Nurse Manager
The Clinical Nurse Manager administers, directs and coordinates the provision of quality nursing care in assigned areas; manages personnel, material and fiscal resources; interacts with other departments and organization staff to ensure a collaborative approach to meeting the mission of the organization; promotes an environment that allows for continuous quality improvement and research.
Applicants must have a License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York and have graduated from an accredited school of nursing. In addition, applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, 16 CEU’s annually and the equivalent of three years of full-time nursing experience in an oncology support setting; or a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, 16 CEU’s annually and the equivalent of five years of full-time nursing experience in an acute care support setting. The preferred candidate will have their OCN certification, supervisory experience, experience working with oncology patients, and experience working in a hospital setting. They will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate leadership, organizational and analytical skills. They will have the ability to actively participate as a part of a team and engage with all team members, to exercise critical thinking and sound judgment and discretion, and to build a team, manage and mentor staff.
