Description of Duties:
The Clinical Nurse Manager administers, directs and coordinates the provision of quality nursing care in assigned areas; manages personnel, material and fiscal resources; interacts with other departments and organization staff to ensure a collaborative approach to meeting the mission of the organization; promotes an environment that allows for continuous quality improvement and research.
Applicants must have a license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York. Also, a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, 16 CEU’s annually and the equivalent of three years of full-time nursing experience in an oncology support setting or a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, 16 CEU’s annually and the equivalent of fiveyears of full-time nursing experience in an acute care support setting. The preferred candidate will have a Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) Certification, a ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certification, a BLS or ACLS Certification and experience managing an Infusion Center. The preferred candidate will also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, a high level of organization and leadership skills. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision is a must.
