Description of Duties:
The Nurse II Administers, directs and coordinates the provision of quality nursing care in assigned areas; manages personnel, material and fiscal resources; interacts with other departments and Institute staff to ensure a collaborative approach to meeting the mission of the Institute; promotes an environment that allows for continuous quality improvement and research and teamwork. Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, workshops and membership in a professional organization. Performs other Clinical Nurse Manager duties as required.
Applicants must have a License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, 16 CEU’s annually and the equivalent of three years of full-time nursing experience in an oncology support setting; or a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, 16 CEU’s annually and the equivalent of five years of full-time nursing experience in an acute care support setting. The preferred candidate will have a Master's degree in Nursing, Public Health, Business Administration, or Social Science and four years of full-time nursing experience in a perioperative support setting or six years of full-time nursing experience in an acute care support setting. Also, one or more years demonstrating progressive leadership abilities and experience in a procedural area. They will also have PICIS, EMR, and iPro knowledge.
