Clinical Laboratory Technologist
Performs simple and complex laboratory test procedures in the Clinical Laboratories. Routine laboratory testing will be on the evening shift in the Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, and Transfusion Service. Routine job functions include specimen acceptance, accessioning, processing, performance of testing and quality control procedures, the use of various laboratory testing systems and information systems for result generation, reporting, and documentation.
The applicant must have a Possession of a full license to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York; or a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology or a related health care discipline and eligibility for full licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York. The preferred candidate will have Previous clinical laboratory experience in Chemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Service. The preferred candidate will have Current/eligible for NYSDOE licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist and Other relevant experience to clinical laboratory operations. The preferred candidate will also have Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with a diverse population.
